Extraction overwrites a record in place, which is what makes re-running a parse safe — and what would erase an editor's work. Corrections are stored separately and put back on top with this. Dry run first; it reports what it would change.
Every stored value is verified against its source block before indexing; unverifiable identifiers, numbers and dates are cleared and flagged, never stored as extracted.
